This bread and cake will feed 4-6 people and has a lot of dietary fibres.
The ingredients are
300 gr dates
150 gr ground almonds
150 gr sugar
3 tablespoons butter
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tbsp corn flour
2 cl Cointreau
50 g almond slivers
Heat the oven to 175 c
Take the stones out of the dates and the dates are cut into small pieces. Stir in the sugar and ground almonds 100gr.
Separate the eggs and the egg yolks and mix them with the rest of the 50 grs sugar and vanilla essence.
Melt butter and mix with corn flour, dates, ground almonds, sugar, yolks and Cointreau. Stir until well mixed.
Whip up the egg whites until stiff and the above mixture.
Win a round cake dish and line baking sheet. Pour the mixture into the cake. Sprinkle almond slivers on top and bake for 30 minutes in the oven at 175 c. in the middle of the
