Celiac disease? Ok, you have a tendency to stick to the "simple" food and food you know, but there is not a lot of sources.

Fortunately, there are websites out there who can provide you with a nice snack.  One of these is us www.envycrystal.com

We offer gluten-free snacks, but also other snacks for people with  allergies, such as lactose, dairy-free, or just vegan &kosher.

If you are interested in  making a pretty cool snack, I highly recommend this easy, no-Cook recipe that is an  all time favorite. COCONUT ICE takes about 15 minutes to do, 4-5 hours to set and then for another 5 minutes and cut into pieces.

The Ingredients

405 gr Tina Condensced milk

300 g desiccated coconut

300 gr of sugar ice

2-3 drops red food color (scarlet)

waxed paper

How to make:

1. Line square or rectangular dish with fat-proof (parchment) paper.

2. mix all the ingredients (except the food coloring).  Spread half of the mixture and spread evenly on the body of the dish-use the back of a spoon to smooth the mixture.

3. Add food colouring to the rest of the mixture and mixed thoroughly.

4. spread the mixture on top of the first layer and flatten out in pink.

5. Leave overnight or for a period of at least 4-5 hours. cool before cutting the squares.

This coconut is considered fresh 4-5 days in an airtight container.  Enjoy!

A simple gift idea to put some coconut ice attractive containers or cans and attach a gift tag.  You can also put some of the squares of clear cellophane and tie with colorful ribbon.
